Employer Flexible has been named one the Best Places to Work 2022 by the San Antonio Business Journal.

“We are excited to be recognized as one of the best places to work in San Antonio. As a PEO, we understand how important employee engagement and first-rate benefits are to the recruitment and retention of talent that allows smaller businesses to grow and thrive,” said Employer Flexible San Antonio Market Manager John Seybold. “This award demonstrates that at Employer Flexible we practice what we preach to our clients.”

The San Antonio Business Journal hosted a ceremony July 21, 2022, at Pedrotti’s Ranch in Helotes, where Employer Flexible received its award in the small company (fewer than 50 employees) category.

“Best Places to Work foster a workplace where employees willingly go above and beyond in their work, advocate for the organization and intend to stay into the future,” said the San Antonio Business Journal.

Employer Flexible Ranked 10th Best Small Company in San Antonio

Employer Flexible, one of 50 small companies honored at the ceremony, scored as the 10th best small company to work for in San Antonio thanks to its company culture that values work/life balance, encourages career growth, and offers a variety of tools, resources, and communication to support employees.

Each year the San Antonio Business Journal recognizes employers in San Antonio that have a strong commitment to fostering positive work environments.

The “Best Places to Work” nomination is based on scores from employee feedback in the form of a survey that is analyzed impartially by Quantum Workplace.

The survey, which asks a variety of questions pertaining to experience working at your company and satisfaction with leadership, measures key areas of an organization’s culture, including:

  • Respect
  • Comfort
  • Employee engagement

“Each year, the Business Journal partners with Quantum Workplace, which conducts an evaluation that involves employees completing surveys that are kept confidential to encourage candidness,” explained the San Antonio Business Journal.

The awards ceremony on July 21 culminated an almost year-long process with nominations for the Best Places to Work 2022 San Antonio opening last September. Surveys with the employees were conducted between March 14 and April 22, 2022.

Employee Engagement Key to Best Places to Work

Employee engagement, according to the San Antonio Business Journal and Quantum Workplace, is one of the keys that allows companies like Employer Flexible to become a Best Places to Work.

Says Quantum Workplace: “Replacing employees is expensive, with costs ranging from 16 percent to 213 percent of any employee’s salary. Research says it takes a new hire one to two years to achieve the productivity levels of an existing employee.”

In today’s historically tight labor market and in the context of the ongoing “Great Resignation” it is more important than ever for companies of all sizes to make sure their employees are highly engaged.

“Employees who are highly engaged are 1.8 times more likely to say they will be working at their current organization a year from now,” says Quantum. “When employees feel valued by their organization, they are far more likely to be engaged. Year after year, this single factor proves to be one of the largest drivers of employee engagement.”
